Daily "GAINS"

Start and end each day with: 

G = Gratitude: What are you grateful for today?

A = Affirmation: What do you like about yourself?

I = Intention: What is your intention for the day?

N = Networking: Who can you connect with today?

S = Service/Spirituality: Can you be of service or connect with a higher power?

This simple mindfulness practice only takes a few minutes but has a lasting impact on our overall well being. First of all, it allows us to set small, doable goals that will become beneficial habits. This in turn allows us to produce happy hormones. It also encourages us to foster a sense of purpose and helps us to formulate a personal set of values and self-worth. As a result, we also set mid and long term goals creating more direction in our life.

In challenging times, this practice serves as a constant reminder that despite the dukkha in our lives, there is always something to be grateful for and something we appreciate about ourselves. It also serves as an everlasting call to action to believe in a higher power and the beauty and grace that comes from acts of service.
